About Us
The Tampa Kendo Club was founded in 2009 by Sensei Sungmin Ro. It is one of the oldest dojos in the Tampa Bay Area. Sensei Ro had been teaching at the University of South Florida Kendo Club since 2006 and continues to instruct university students at the Tampa Kendo Club.
The club operates with the support of a volunteer community of instructors, students, and families.
Furthermore, we are proud affiliates of both the All United States Kendo Federation and the South East United States Kendo Federation
